Bodhi Yoga, a simple yoga-based body work practice to deepen our body, mind, heart connection to support our meditation and Buddhist practice on and off the cushion.

Friday Daytime Course - Change your Mind, Change the World - Level Two

This is a new course we are offering for all those who have done one of our Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation courses. It will be an excellent opportunity to further your understanding of the Dharma, deepen your meditation practice and make friendships with others attending the Buddhist Centre.

We will be exploring the teachings contained in the Buddhist Wheel of Life.

It runs for 3 weeks, finishing on Friday 29th November.

We offer this course on a donations basis.

Friday Daytime Course Change your Mind, Change the World - An Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation

This eight-week course is an ideal introduction to both meditation and Buddhism and is the best way to get a taste of what we do at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre. You will learn both of the meditation practices that we teach - the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana. We will also explore Buddhism by looking at the Three Jewels - Buddha, Dharma and Sangha - and the Threefold Path of Ethics, Meditation and Wisdom.

NB - Please be aware that, due to the Global Climate Strike taking place on Friday 20th September, the Buddhist Centre will be closed on that day (we will be staging an all-day meditation in Old Market Square as part of the strike). This means that there will be no class on September 20th.

The course runs for 8 weeks and will finish on Friday 8th November. There is also a Day Retreat at the Buddhist Centre as part of the course on Sunday 27th October from 10.00 - 4.00 p.m.

No prior experience is required.
