Yoga is a great way to ground yourself in a greater awareness of your body and hence prepare yourself for meditation.

We currently have three external teachers who run their own classes in our wonderful shrine room.

Yoga with Kirsty

I teach Hatha yoga, connecting the breath with movement to bring peace to the mind and body. I truly believe that yoga is for every ‘body’ and so I teach people, not postures. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned yogi, I welcome everyone to class.

Monday Evening  18.00 to 19.15 - Restorative

 A gentle practice, moving slow and breathing deep to soothe the body and mind. We’ll begin practice with the a calming meditation, followed by slowly flowing through movement to align the body and moving into stillness for a longer time. Through these slow and gentle movements, we reset the body, letting go of tension and teach the mind to settle in the present moment.

Tuesday Evening 18.15 to 19.15 - Intermediate

A dynamic Hatha flow, connecting the breath with movement to calm the mind and build strength in the body. We’ll make space to tune into your own practice with deep meditative breath, allowing for the exploration of advanced postures.  

Wednesday Evening 18.15 to 19.15 - Beginner

A slow Hatha flow, gently opening the body and building strength through long holds, whilst soothing the mind with deep calming breath. We’ll use props to explore the postures and develop your own understanding of the physical and philosophical practice of yoga.

£9 drop in class or £8 concession – student/low income

Thursday Evenings - 18.15 to 19.15

My name is Lukas, and I have been teaching yoga since 2015, when I finished teacher training in Rishikesh, India.

I believe that yoga is a self-discipline practice to cultivate awareness of body, emotions and thoughts to integrate our experience fully. 

While coming to the class you can expect sacred music, slow paced mindful yoga flow, emphasising awareness of the moment and movement, entwined with simple yet powerful guidance.

Yoga with Hon

Monday Morning 11.00 to 12.00

A Yoga practitioner for 18 years, I hold the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma.

I deliver Hatha Yoga to a mix of large general groups, smaller number group (Mysore), and one-to-one client sessions (one-to-one client sessions are targeted to specific individual need). 

Using Asana postures and Pranayama breathing techniques we relax our body and calm our mind in preparation for Meditation/Yoga Nidra (deeper spiritual practice).
