Buddha Day Festival

sunday 11th may 2025

Sunday 11th May (10am - 4pm)

Over 2,500 years ago, beneath the Bodhi tree, the Buddha awakened to truth and liberation as he attained Enlightenment. Join us in celebrating this profound moment in history with meditation, ritual, and Sangha.

We’ll unveil a new shrine built for our Buddha rupa, and several of our Sangha friends will take a significant step in their spiritual lives by committing to the Five Precepts in a Mitra ceremony—formally marking their path as practicing Buddhists. This is a deeply meaningful occasion—come witness, celebrate, and support them as they affirm their journey. (Traditionally, gifts are offered to the new Mitras. You’re welcome to bring your own, or choose something from our gift shop.)

We will also be having a shared meal together, please bring vegan food to contribute.
