amitabha Day Retreat

With Guest Order Member Paramartha

Sunday 30th August 2026 (10am - 4pm)

Open to all who have completed a course and are familiar with how we practice

Join special guest Paramartha, a senior Order Member, for a retreat day exploring the boundless compassion and infinite light of the Buddha Amitabha. Symbolising compassion as an essential quality of enlightenment, Amitabha offers a powerful focus for meditation and reflection. This retreat day is an opportunity to deepen your practice through teachings, meditation, and devotional practice inspired by Amitabha.

Now living locally to Adhisthana, Paramartha continues to support the teaching community and throughout the Triratna movement. As one of Sangharakshita’s closest friends and companions in the Dharma life, he brings invaluable insight and experience that will enrich our day together.

Please bring vegan food to share for lunch!

HOW TO BOOK

We run everything at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre on a donation basis - we want our events to be available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. We ask for a donation at the time of booking if possible, as we’re completely reliant on your generous donations to keep our doors open to all.

We’d suggest a donation of £58/£48/£38 - or whatever amount you can and would enjoy giving.

If you are unable to give even a very small amount, you are still very welcome. Please email info@nottinghambuddhistcentre.org and we'll book you on.

(Please note: any donation made is a donation to the centre and not payment for an event. If for some reason you can’t make the event, you’re warmly welcome to join any other suitable event)
