Dharma Day Festival

sunday 13th july 2025

Sunday 13th July 2025 (10am - 4.30pm)

This event is for those who have completed an introductory course.

Join the Sangha for a joyful event as we come together to celebrate Dharma Day—an annual festival honouring the Buddha’s teachings and their continued relevance in our lives today.

Dharma Day is an opportunity to reflect on the power of the Dharma Jewel as a community. There will be various talks from Order Member and Mitras training for ordination, meditation and ritual. A highlight of the day will be the Mitra Ceremonies, a special moment where friends of the Sangha take a significant step in their spiritual lives by committing to the Five Precepts in a ritual—formally marking their path as practicing Buddhists. This is a deeply meaningful occasion—come witness, celebrate, and support them as they affirm their journey.

(Traditionally, gifts are offered to the new Mitras. You’re welcome to bring your own, or choose something from our gift shop.)

We will also be having a shared meal together, please bring vegan food to contribute.

There’s no need to book for this event, just turn up!
