Dharma Day Festival
saturday 25th july 2026
Saturday 25th July | 11am - 4pm (invitation for Order Members & GFR Mitras to join session at 10am)
This event is for those who have completed a course and are familiar with how we practice.
Please note: The day begins at 10.00am with an initiation into the Mūlā Yoga practice for Order Members and Mitras training for Ordination only. This part of the programme is not open to the wider Sangha. Doors will open at 11.00am for everyone attending the Dharma Day Festival.
Join us for our Dharma Day Festival as we celebrate the Buddha's first teaching and the precious gift of the Dharma. For over 2,500 years, the Buddha's teachings have inspired countless people, offering wisdom, compassion and a path of transformation that remains deeply relevant today.
Together we'll celebrate with meditation, Dharma talks, ritual, shared food and Mitra ceremonies.
Mitra ceremonies are a significant milestone in the Triratna Buddhist Community, marking the moment when someone publicly becomes a Buddhist by committing themselves to the Three Jewels and undertaking the Five Ethical Precepts. They are joyful and moving occasions, and everyone is warmly invited to come along to witness and support those taking this important step.
Please bring a vegan food to share for lunch, and if you'd like to join in the spirit of the day, we invite you to wear something blue!
