Nottingham Buddhist Centre

The Wisdom and Compassion of the Buddhist Path is needed in the world now more than ever, and our wish is to reach out and share that as widely and open-heartedly as we can.

Here at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre, we’re a friendly community of Order Members and volunteers who run meditation classes, yoga sessions, Buddhist talks, retreats and festival days that are open to people from all walks of life and levels of experience. 

As part of the global Triratna Buddhist Community, we’re here to teach and practice a style of Buddhism that strives to be compatible and relevant to a modern Western world. We very much look forward to welcoming you in person or online.

 

Drop-in Meditation Classes

We run a drop-in meditation classes in-person every Tuesday and Friday at 13:00 - 14:00, as well as every Wednesday at 19:30 - 20:20. No booking required—simply drop in. We operate on a donation basis, so give what you can afford. All experience levels are welcome!

BODHI YOGA CLASSES

Yoga is a great way to ground yourself in a greater awareness of your body and hence prepare yourself for meditation. While our yoga classes are built on Buddhist principles, anyone is welcome to come along and get something from these sessions. Find out more through the button below.

Introductory Courses

Are you new to meditation and Buddhism? Our introductory courses are a great way to explore the fundamentals of meditation and Buddhism in a supportive atmosphere, and are led by our Buddhist teachers and a team of volunteers. Our courses are also a wonderful chance to connect with others who have the same curiosity as you.
