Path of Commitment

Sunday 8th June 2025 (10am-1pm)

In person event open to all who have completed an Introductory course within Triratna.

This event we will delve into The Path of Commitment, guided by the Centre’s Mitra Convenors, Jnanaruchi and Upekshanandi. These two order members hold a special responsibility for attending to the Dharmic needs of Mitras and those who are interested in going deeper in their practice at the Centre.

During this event, we will explore ways to deepen our practice within the context of the Triratna Buddhist Community. You can find out more on what a mitra means here. We will focus on:

Why, What and How to become a mitraWhy would one want to become a mitra or choose to practice within such a context? What is the point?

Two members of our Sangha will be sharing their experiences as mitras, an opportunity to hear of their personal journeys, why they decided to take that step and how they practice.

This is an in person event, so we'll be gathering at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre's building in the Lace Market. There will be meditation and time for exploration and questions.

You don't have to want to become a mitra to come to this event, just bring your curiosity. Click the button below to let us know if you are planning to attend this event.
