Sangha Day Festival
sunday 9th November 2025
Sunday 9th November 2pm - 6.30pm
Celebrating the Jewel of the Sangha
Join us for this special festival day celebrating the Sangha, our spiritual community. Sangha Day is an annual celebration where we come together in friendship, practice, and gratitude for the community of practitioners who walk the Buddhist path alongside us.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be meditation, talks featuring archived footage of Sangharakshita and some of his main teachers, offering reflections on their inspiration and wisdom. We will conclude with a ritual to celebrate the Sangha Jewel, a vital part of Buddhist life, which the Buddha described as “the whole of the spiritual life.”
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the joy and strength of Sangha through shared practice and connection. Please bring vegan food to share for our communal meal.

Invitation: A Crisis for Young People – A Vision of the Future
Invitation to join a movement wide meeting from the College of Public Preceptors to an online Zoom event, A Crisis for Young People: A Vision of the Future, on Sunday, 9th November (7.30pm). A concern within the movement has been about the lack of young people becoming involved and entering the Order, as we witness an increasingly aging community. In response, the College of Public Preceptors are hosting this special gathering to explore the question of young people and Triratna.
This event is open to everyone in the Sangha world-wide, so please do come along! We hope to involve all Order members, mitras, friends, and newcomers in this important exploration, with the aspiration that it will spark fresh initiatives and help clarify the issues we face. The event will be broadcast live from International College Meeting at Adhisthana.
