Skills Auction

Sunday 29th March (3pm–6pm)
Payments will be taken on the day by cash or card.

Roll up, roll up! It’s time for one of the most joyful events of the year—our Skills Auction. Expect excitement, laughter, friendly competition, and a wonderful array of imaginative offerings from across the Sangha.

Fancy bidding on a bread-making class? A handmade cushion? An afternoon photography walk? Who knows what will appear—half the fun is discovering it. In previous years, people have appreciated not only the skills they received, but also the time spent together: learning, creating, and deepening friendships. Bring your family, enjoy tea and cake, and soak up the buzz as the bidding begins.

What is a Skills Auction?

A Skills Auction is an event where members of the Sangha offer their talents, services, or skills for bidding. If you have a skill to share, simply submit it using the form below. During the auction, attendees bid on the experiences they’re interested in, and the highest bidder wins. All funds raised go toward supporting the Centre and helping it continue to run. Afterwards, we will put the bidders in contact with the person who offered the skill to arrange a time to use their winnings.

What can you offer?

Absolutely anything! Practical, artistic, quirky, or simply fun — from composting workshops to crochet creations, guided walks to home-baked delights. The sky really is the limit. If you’re unsure what to offer, chat to someone who’s taken part before — everyone has a skill to share.

The Skills Auction is a joyful collection of talents and treasures. You gain a new experience, strengthen your connections within the Sangha, and support the Centre all at once.
