Women’s Gathering
Fearless Compassion: Meeting Amoghasiddhi
Saturday 16th August (10 am - 2.30 pm)
For women who have completed an introductory course and are familiar with how we practice.
Time: 10:00am – 2:30pm
Shared lunch: Please bring a vegan dish to share. We’ll enjoy a communal meal together at 1pm.
Whether you're new to Buddhist practice or well on your path, all are welcome.
Join us for an evening of connection, reflection, and practice as we gather around the inspiring figure of Amoghasiddhi, the fearless Buddha of the North. Known for his unwavering courage and wise action, Amoghasiddhi embodies the transformative power of fearlessness—not as the absence of fear, but as the strength to act with clarity and compassion in the face of it.
Through meditation, ritual, and discussion, we'll explore how these qualities can support us in our lives and practice. What does it mean to respond to fear with courage? How can we move through self-doubt and act from confidence and trust?
This gathering is a precious opportunity to meet and practice in the company of other women, creating a space of shared inspiration, kindness, and strength.
Booking: We run everything at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre on a donation basis, to donate for this event and book on. The suggested donation is £25/£20/£15, if our recommended donation is more than you can afford please give whatever you feel able to.
