WEEK 1

Home Practice

1.) Read the Week One notes (download the PDF here) to look at this content again and reflect upon them.

  • Clarify what it is you feel inspired to do to make the world a better place.

  • Clarify areas of difficulty, and be clear on what stories you are telling yourself that might not be helpful.

2.) Every day, either in the morning or the evening, keep a gratitude diary and write down three things you feel grateful for in your life and in your world.

  • After doing this, keep in mind one thing you’d like to work on tomorrow to make the world a better place, even by just a small amount.

  • This could be taking on some way of living out liberty, equality or fraternity that day.

  • Use the journal too to take note of anything that happens to you in your week that you might want to bring back to the course next week.

3.) Do more Metta Bhavana in your meditation practice this week.

4.) Download and read the PDF for Week Two: Consumerism and its Antidotes (download the PDF here)

  • If you want to deepen your understanding of the Bodhisattva ideal consider joining this Saturday 13th March meditation morning, exploring Avalokiteshvara's mantra: OM MANI PADME HUM.
