Yoga and Meditation Day Retreat
Sunday 15th September, 10am - 4pm
"the season in which we gather fruit with a strong skin, or nuts (and seeds) with a hard shell like chestnuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, with their richness within...We feel inclined to get in contact with the inner part inside the shell, our deeper, vital parts, and sense a need for moving within, and letting the pace slow down."
- Autumn, Winter, Spring Summer, Sandra Sabatini
As the summer draws to an end, we enter the season of gathering in and laying down stores ready for the approaching cold of winter. In this seasonal transition we can take time to connect with our inner riches, our heart's potential as symbolised by the Ratna (jewel) family of buddhas and bodhisattvas. The mother of the family, Mamaki, as the essence of water complements the earth of Ratnasambhava, together they evoke an impression of inexhaustible richness and generosity.
Join Deborah, Kshantika and Holly for a day of yoga, meditation, and rest and sound.
Open to all levels of experience, there are only 15 places on this event so do book on in advance!
The day will consist of yoga based movement, breathing, meditation, guided relaxation, sound bath, with a break for lunch. Bring light vegetarian food to share!
Doors open at 9:45am to give you time to set up your space for practice etc. for a 10am start, finishing the day at 4pm.
We do have some mats available, however you might prefer to bring your own. Wear warm, comfortable clothing that allows for maximum movement. You may want to bring your own blanket and thick socks (for extra cosiness). There is also a suggestion to have a light breakfast on the morning of the day retreat.
Please email Kshantika on the email below, letting her know of any injuries, restrictions of movement, or health issues you’d like us to be aware of before attending the day so we can accommodate you more fully.
